PrintArt Series

The "PrintArt" series stems from the quest to transform an image into a symbol through a planned reduction that tends to eliminate the superfluous in favor of meaning, with a view to creating artistic multiples. Stefano Turco designs and paints the 0 numbers, the "originals" of Italian-style symbols and products. Having become almost a symbol of Turco Design's production, this series is among the few examples of editions that achieve the goal of creating "artistic" images for the home, based on the concept of seriality, transforming them into true design objects. Stefano Turco seeks, through the choice of these "archetypal" subjects, the form and technique of their representation, a sort of "super-icon": the Tortiglione is not a tortiglione but THE TORTIGLIONE.
